Traveling Status and Ease

Our religion has provided great conveniences for the traveler. Like performing 4-rakat fard prayers as 2 rakats (qasr al-salat) when we are travelers, permission not to fast. This is an indication of Allah's mercy to His servants. Using these permissions means accepting Allah's treat. Instead of struggling on the journey, performing worship with joy using these conveniences is essential. As long as our intention is pure and our route is good.

"Getting in the car or sitting in the plane seat, saying 'Bismillah' and reading that prayer... It gives one such confidence, doesn't it?"

Conclusion

Travel is one of the special times when prayers are accepted. Prayer made while traveling is not rejected. Therefore, when setting out, we should pray not only for ourselves but also for those we left behind and the ummah. Getting along well with the travel companion, helping the needy seen on the road increases the blessing of the journey. They say 'Travel is the scale of morality'. May your travels bring not only distances but also hearts closer.
