HalalWorld Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective Date: September 30, 2025

Last Update: September 30, 2025

  • This policy regulates the rules for cancellation, modification, refund, and rebooking of all digital tourism reservations (hotel, tour, yacht/boat rental, and similar dated services) made through HalalWorld. There is no process for physical product sales, shipping, or return addresses.

  • 2.1. HalalWorld is an online platform that connects suppliers (hotels, tour operators, yacht companies) with customers. Many services are provided by third-party suppliers.

    2.2. Order of priority:

    1. The relevant supplier’s own cancellation/refund policy and campaign terms
    2. The specific conditions of the room/tour/boat displayed at the time of booking
    3. This policy (general provisions)

2.3. If page and coupon terms conflict, the supplier’s conditions and the special terms you confirmed at the time of booking shall prevail.

    • Customer: The person making a reservation through HalalWorld.
    • Supplier: Hotel, tour operator, yacht/boat company, or similar third-party service provider.
    • Reservation: A digital confirmation for a service tied to a specific date/time period.
    • Flexible/Semi-Flexible: Price types that allow free or partial-fee cancellation until a certain date.
    • Non-Refundable (NRF): Price types that do not allow cancellation or refund in case of cancellation.
    • No-show: Failure to be present at the time of reservation/service start.
    • Rebooking: Changing the date subject to availability and possible price differences.
  • 4.1. All confirmations are provided digitally via e-mail/SMS/app notifications and through the “My Account” section. No physical documents are sent.

4.2. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep reservation documents (e-voucher, confirmation number, supplier contact details).

  • 5.1. In services such as accommodation, transportation, car rental, leisure/entertainment, or other leisure services performed on a specific date, the right of withdrawal under distance selling regulations generally does not apply.

5.2. Therefore, refunds are evaluated according to the supplier’s refund/cancellation conditions, the selected price type, and the general provisions of this policy.

  • 6.1. All time calculations are based on the local time of the service location.

6.2. The right to cancel and the applicable deduction rate vary depending on the selected price type and the supplier’s conditions.

6.3. Whenever possible, rebooking may be offered instead of direct cancellation. Price differences and supplier change fees may apply.

6.4. A no-show usually results in “full charge.”

  • Note: The following bands are for illustration purposes; the final conditions are written on the supplier’s page.

    • Flexible: Free cancellation up to 48–72 hours before the start. Afterwards, 1 night or up to 100% of the fee may be charged.
    • Semi-Flexible: Cancellation with partial deduction up to 7–14 days before the start. Closer dates may result in 100% deduction.
    • Non-Refundable (NRF): Always 100% deduction; refunds are only possible if the supplier grants an exception or in case of supplier-initiated cancellation.
    • No-show: 100% deduction; rebooking is mostly not available.
  • 8.1. Hotel/Other Accommodation

    • The cancellation window and penalty before check-in vary depending on room type, seasonality, and hotel policy.
    • In cases of early departure and partial use, unused nights may not be refunded.
    • City/accommodation taxes and local fees collected at the property may be non-refundable once used.
    • Matters such as name change, bed arrangement, and whether breakfast is included are subject to supplier conditions and may incur price differences.
    • In the event of overbooking, either an alternative property of the same or higher category is offered, or a full refund is provided.

    8.2. Yacht/Boat Rental

    • At the time of reservation, usually a 30–50% deposit is taken; the balance is collected by most suppliers 30–45 days prior.
    • Example cancellation framework:
      • 60+ days before: Amount excluding deposit refunded/travel credit; deposit refund depends on supplier policy.
      • 59–30 days: 50–75% of the total amount charged.
      • 29–15 days: 75–90% of the total amount charged.
      • 14 days or less: 100% charged.
    • Security deposit, fuel, captain/crew fees, marina/port fees, cleaning, and other mandatory extras may be non-refundable or deducted based on usage.
    • Weather and navigation safety: The captain/supplier may alter the route for safety reasons. In case of port closures, bans, or adverse weather, postponement/credit is prioritized under supplier policy; cash refund is only made if the contract allows.
    • Late check-in/late check-out or violation of yacht rules may result in no-show/equivalent charges.

    8.3. Tours (daily, multi-day, private)

    • For daily tours, the common window is free cancellation up to 24–48 hours before; shorter notice may result in 100% charge.
    • For multi-day/private tours, cancellation windows may vary between 7–30 days.
    • Third-party expenses such as museum/event tickets, guide licenses, and transportation tickets are generally non-refundable or refundable only to the extent the provider offers a refund.
    • If the minimum number of participants is not met, the supplier may cancel the tour; a new date or a similar tour is offered first, and if not accepted, a full refund is provided.
    • Late arrival/no-show: Full charge may apply; rebooking is at the supplier’s discretion.
  • 9.1. During holidays, fairs, festivals/summits, and high season, cancellation windows may be extended and deduction rates may increase.

9.2. For group reservations of 5+ rooms or 8+ people, separate contracts and deposit conditions apply.

  • 10.1. The supplier may modify or cancel the service. In such case:

    • An equivalent or better alternative is provided without any price difference; or
    • If the alternative is rejected, the full amount paid is refunded.

10.2. HalalWorld’s responsibility is limited to refunding the fee for the service not provided by the supplier; indirect damages are excluded.

  • 11.1. In cases of natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, wars, official restrictions, port/route closures, and similar unforeseen events, supplier conditions take priority.

11.2. Common practice: Instead of a cash refund, a date change/travel credit is offered. A cash refund is only provided if required by supplier policy or mandatory legislation.

  • 12.1. Platform service fees and payment intermediary charges may be non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.

12.2. In case of cancellation/refund, coupons and campaign discounts (if applied) will be recalculated.

12.3. Currency conversions and banking charges may be borne by the customer.

  • 13.1. Refunds are, whenever possible, made to the original payment method. Alternatively, travel credit (wallet) may be offered; it is up to the customer to accept or decline.

13.2. The time for the refund to reflect depends on the operations of banks and payment institutions. HalalWorld processes the refund request after receiving supplier approval and supporting records.

13.3. If a chargeback is initiated, the process is carried out in accordance with the relevant payment institution’s rules; necessary information/documents may be requested.

  • 14.1. Cancellation of a single component within a package may affect the prices of the remaining components. Refunds/penalties are calculated separately per component and according to package terms.

14.2. If a component is canceled by the supplier, only the amount corresponding to that part is refunded or an alternative is provided.

  • 15.1. Coupons and credits cannot be converted into cash; their validity period and usage conditions are displayed at the time of booking.

15.2. In case of a refund, coupon/credit usage is deducted first, and cash refunds are made only for the remaining balance.

  • 16.1. Name change/transfer is subject to each supplier’s rules and security requirements; it may incur a fee or be completely rejected.

16.2. Special requests (connecting rooms, baby cot, vegan/halal menu, disabled access, route change, etc.) are not guaranteed; they are only in the status of “request submitted.”

  • 17.1. It is the customer’s responsibility to fulfill requirements such as ID, visa, license, driver’s license, insurance, and age restrictions.

17.2. Customers must arrive at the meeting point on time and comply with facility and boat rules. Violations may result in no-show status or penalties.

17.3. Damage, improper use beyond cleaning, and security violations are charged according to the supplier’s tariff.

  • 18.1. Please contact us first through our support channels; coordination with the supplier will be arranged.

18.2. If no solution is found, the legal remedies under the applicable consumer legislation remain reserved. The applicable law and competent authorities are as specified in the contract.

  • 19.1. The data you share during reservation, cancellation/refund, and rebooking processes is processed solely to fulfill your request and comply with legal obligations. The Privacy Policy applies for details.

    • Semi-Flexible: Up to 7 days before check-in: 30–50% charge; less than 7 days: 100%.
    • NRF: Always 100%; refund only if the property cancels.

    22.2. Yacht/Boat

    • 60+ days: Deposit may be non-refundable; balance refunded/travel credit (depending on supplier).
    • 59–30 days: 50–75% charge.
    • 29–15 days: 75–90% charge.
    • <14 days: 100% charge.
    • Bad weather/port closure: Postponement/credit prioritized, cash refund subject to contract.

    22.3. Tours

    • Daily: Free cancellation up to 24–48 hours before; closer cancellations 100%.
    • Multi-day/private: Gradual charges in 7–30 day bands.
    • Third-party tickets/expenses: Non-refundable or refundable only as per supplier refund.

This policy is applied without prejudice to mandatory legal provisions. In case of conflict, the supplier’s policy and the special terms confirmed at the time of reservation shall prevail.
