Moscow & St. Petersburg Tour Accompanied by White Nights

The historic Red Square, which has witnessed important events in world history and major political and social developments; the colorful St. Basil’s Cathedral; Lenin’s Mausoleum; the Monument to Minin and Prince Dmitry; Lobnoye Mesto; Nikolskaya Tower; the Bolshoi Theatre; the Kremlin Palace, which served as the administrative center of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union with its rich historical texture and impressive architecture; and the Moscow Grand Mosque, an important place of worship for Muslims in Russia as well as a historical and cultural symbol, are among the places to be visited.

After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Novodevichy Monastery and the Cemetery of Celebrities, where the grave of Nazım Hikmet is also located.

Our next stop will be the world-famous Moscow Metro, regarded not only as a transportation system but also as a masterpiece of art and engineering reflecting the culture and history of the city. We will get off at Arbat Street Station. There will be free time on Arbat Street, a pedestrian avenue passing through the heart of Moscow and a popular spot for Russian high society.

Afterwards, we proceed to one of Moscow’s most iconic and impressive areas, the VDNKh Exhibition Center (Vystavka Dostizheniy Narodnogo Khozyaystva). In this vast open-air complex, featuring architecture from the Soviet era to the present day, large park areas, and modern museums, we will have free time.

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for St. Petersburg by train. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a panoramic city tour where we will have the opportunity to see the streets showcasing the finest works of the world’s most famous architects and artists, as well as the city’s historical and touristic landmarks.

Among the highlights are the renowned Nevsky Prospect, featured in the works of famous writers; the Old Port Lighthouses; the Mint; the Clock Tower; the statue of Peter the Great; the Winter Palace; Palace Square; the Admiralty Building; the cruiser Aurora; St. Petersburg Mosque; Saint Isaac’s Cathedral; Kazan Cathedral; and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood (Voskresenia Khristova Church).

After breakfast at the hotel, our next stop is the Hermitage Museum, located along the Neva River. Housing approximately 4 million works dating back to the Tsarist era, it is one of the largest museums in the world and in Russia. The Hermitage is also listed in the Guinness Book of Records for having the largest collection of paintings.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed with our Peterhof tour. Located on the Gulf of Finland, this summer palace was planned personally by Peter the Great and built by the Italian architect Rastrelli. Rivaling the Palace of Versailles in Paris, it is a magnificent palace complex adorned with 150 monumental fountains and 4 waterfalls. Although it suffered significant damage during World War II, it has been carefully restored in full accordance with its original architectural design.

Afterwards, we will visit Pushkin, also known as Tsarskoye Selo (Tsar’s Village). Built in the 18th century by Catherine the Great, this vast complex of parks, palaces, and buildings covers an area of 600 hectares. The main building of the complex is the Catherine Palace. The famous Amber Room here is extremely impressive; however, due to heavy visitor traffic, especially in the summer months, it may not always be accessible to all tourists. This renowned town, where the Tsarist aristocracy once gathered with the royal family, is also home to the school where the famous poet Alexander Pushkin studied.

After breakfast at the hotel, our first stop is the Dostoevsky Museum. Following our visit to the museum, where we will see traces of Dostoevsky’s writing career and personal life, the author of famous works such as Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov, we will take a St. Petersburg canal tour.

During our boat tour, accompanied by our guide, we will experience St. Petersburg from its canals, extending all the way to the Neva River.
